Niagara County is launching a process to update its Hazard Mitigation Plan. FEMA requires counties to update HMPs every five years for local jurisdictions to receive federal funding for hazard mitigation projects.

Recent hazard events in Niagara County underscore the need for the community to work together to reduce the impacts of future hazards, as proven by the pandemic and recent flooding in Niagara County. To plan effective strategies that limit the damage that future hazards may cause in Niagara County, we need to hear from community members like you.
