SME and the Minerals Education Coalition (MEC) are happy to provide this service and other resources in support of the Mining in Society (MiS) merit badge. By completing this form, MiS merit badge counselors will be added to our mailing list for future communications regarding the merit badge, support materials and your role as a counselor.

Scouts: This form is intended for Mining in Society merit badge counselors only, but we're excited that you're interested in mining! Please work with your Scoutmaster to find a MiS merit badge counselor in your area. We hope you enjoy earning the merit badge!
 
Important Note: All merit badge counselors must register annually through their local Scout council and complete Youth Protection Training per BSA policies. Completion of this form is NOT a substitute for official registration and acceptance as a merit badge counselor with the Boy Scouts of America.  Any questions in this regard should be directed to your local Scout council.
