Madison County is in the process of updating and finalizing its Sustainability Plan. The purpose of the plan is twofold. First, the goals set forth in the plan will guide our grant programs, ensuring that expenditures are aligned with long-term objectives. Second, the plan will better position the County to apply for and receive grant funding from state, federal, and foundation sources. Your input is crucial to developing a goals and objectives that meets your needs.

I would make energy efficiency improvements to my home if I had more information on doing so
I believe that preserving and rehabilitating historic housing stock, so that materials are kept from landfills, is more important than building new high efficiency homes
I would be more likely to invest in alternate energy solutions (e.g. solar, wind, geothermal), if I had additional resources on benefits and cost
I believe that training job seekers for green jobs (e.g. solar technicians, clean vehicle maintenance, green builders, farmers, etc.) is the key to building a sustainable future 
Improving our air quality is the most important aspect of sustainability
