Survivor Application
The Human Trafficking Survivor Wellness Retreat is held once a year for male survivors who are 21 years of age and older who have been trafficked in the United States.

- Are a survivor of labor or sex trafficking (using the Federal definition)
- Have been 'out of the life' for at least two years
- Not currently living in a residential program for trafficking or addiction.
- Clean of addiction
- Have a valid Passport and are able to travel out of the country. (If you do not have a passport, you will need the new Real ID and a birth certificate that isn't a copy) We may be able to assist you in obtaining these.
- Willing to try something new.
2025 Wellness Retreat: November 3rd-7th, Royal Caribbean Cruise- 4 nights from Fort Lauderdale
All accommodations are provided for free of charge including a double occupancy room, your own bed, transportation to and from the retreat, meals and all your supplies.
Please Note:
This is a 4 night Cruise out of the country. We will be at sea for 1 day and in. Nassau Bahamas one day for guided excursions and another day at their private island Cococay, Bahamas.
You will be sharing a room with another male survivor but have your own bed. These are twins.
You have the ability to choose to have your own room or upgrade to a different room but will have to pay the difference.
SOAP will pay for the trip to and from the cruise port, the cruise and all taxes, gratuities and fees.
Attendees must pay for the drink package of their choice. This can range from $13 a day for soda/water to $57 a day for full drink package/alcohol.
SOAP will be arranging all the mandatory actives but you will have free time as well.
The Weekend is ideal for survivors who want to THRIVE and have already done hard work to heal. It is for those who need a little boost in their healing, who want to develop supportive relationships with other survivors and mentors, and who are willing to work a little and love a lot. It is a combination of letting go, having fun and laughing, working hard on your inner self and being willing to work through your triggers. An example of some of the sessions that could be offered are: massages, facials, classes on releasing your anger and forgiveness, nutrition, healthy relationships, money management, how to tell your story, as well as group exercises on building trust.
- Each retreat is unique and focuses on the Wellness Wheel.
- Accommodations, meals and transportation is provide FREE of cost to survivors. We will pay to fly you to the retreat or give you a gas card if you drive.
- If you aren't selected this time, we hope you will apply again.
- Space is limited.
- All volunteers have been trauma trained.
- Medical and Crisis teams are onsite in case of emergencies.
- If you are accepted, please note that you will receive a group email along with the other survivors who will be attending. If you need your information to remain private, please let us know ahead of time.
- You will be provided with an individualized schedule of the sessions you choose. They are voluntary but you will be required to participate in the ALL group sessions.
*For the male retreat, most all volunteers will be male but a few may be female.
While the application is long and extensive, it is to ensure that attendees are ready for a therapeutic weekend. Healing can be triggering and the safety of our participants is our number one concern. The application is shared only with the selection committee who are experts in human trafficking.
