Program Details
Magic City Sips is a summer-long, city-wide happy hour event series every Wednesday from 4pm - 7pm. The program will kick off Wednesday, May 31st, 2023, and conclude Wednesday, August 30th, 2023.
Organized by the City of Birmingham's Department of Innovation and Economic Opportunity, SIPS will highlight and support local establishments by encouraging patronage throughout the summer months. Participating bars and restaurants will host their happy hours, highlighting SIPS-encouraged drink and food specials.
The summer will conclude with a “Sippy Cup Award” which will be awarded to the best establishment based on patrons' votes in various categories including:

To be included in the Magic City Sips program, your establishment must OPT-IN to the questions below numbered 3-6.
Upon registration, the City of Birmingham will provide a QR code and decal sticker to establishments to display for program recognition, and for patrons to engage in voting.
Register by May 31st to be included in the inaugural launch! Ongoing registration will be available after May 31st for interested restaurants and bars.
