At this year's annual summit, Swarupa Anila, director of interpretive engagement at the Detroit Institute of Arts, will present "Building the Great Belonging," a talk that will reflect on what it means to shift the rhetoric in our museums from welcoming to belonging.

The keynote will be followed by a breakout session in which attendees are given the opportunity to discuss in small groups their own institutional and personal experiences with exclusion and inclusion. Swarupa Anila will reconvene everyone to discuss insights and observations. The summit will conclude with a complimentary lunch.
