Survey Overview

Liverpool Plains Shire Council is preparing a Local Strategic Planning Statement (LSPS) that will identify our planning priorities over the next 20 years to meet the land use needs of the community, and to deliver key State and regional planning objectives. The LSPS needs to consider economic, social and environmental matters, and must be consistent with the Regional Plan and Council’s Community Strategic Plan.

Council’s LSPS will set-out:

·         the 20-year vision for land use in the Shire;
·         the shared community values to be maintained and enhanced;
·         the special characteristics which contribute to local identity; and,
·         how future growth and change will be managed.

The planning priorities identified in the LSPS will inform future changes to Council’s planning documents and controls, including the Local Environmental Plan, Development Control Plan and contributions plan. This will help to ensure that planning controls remain current and align with the needs of the community, including future generations.

Please note the survey is open until Friday the 6th of December 2019. Hard copy versions must be returned to Council's Customer Service Centre, 60 Station Street, Quirindi, or Werris Creek Library, 59 Single Street, Werris Creek by this date.
