Welcome!

Welcome to The Ecological Society of America’s survey on Sustaining Living Collections!

The objectives of this survey are to:
1) Assess the current state of living collections in the United States, and
2) Identify the most important sustainability concerns and needs of the living collections community now and in the future.

This survey was developed and distributed by the following team:

• Dr. Kevin McCluskey, Curator, Fungal Genetics Stock Center, Kansas State University
• Dr. Clifford Duke, Director of Science Programs, Ecological Society of America
• Ms. Jill Petraglia Parsons, Science Programs Manager, Ecological Society of America
• Ms. Kimberly Quach, Science Programs Assistant, Ecological Society of America

The anticipated research outcome:

We plan to discuss the results of this survey in a paper on sustaining living collections, which will be submitted to a peer-reviewed scientific journal for publication. We hope this publication will help communicate needs of the living collections community to a wide audience, as well as advocate for continued federal support of living collections. We thank you in advance for your participation in this effort.
