ACT Listening & Learning Tour

Thank you for participating in our Listening & Learning Tour! We are seeking your input about trends and challenges, but also about opportunities and ideas you have for creating a better Alexandria for everyone. Your responses, together with what we learn on our tour, will help inform ACT's grant-making and broader work as we seek to align future community investment initiatives and funding around the most pressing community needs.

Capacity Building Grants - ACT offers grant funding to support nonprofits by investing in infrastructure based programs and organizational needs.

Early Care & Education - ACT is committed to engaging the community about the importance of early childhood education, sharing best practices and highlighting bright spot research & convening the ECE Work Group around building the city's ECE system.

IMPACT Forum - ACT convenes board, business, City, community and nonprofit leaders to discuss innovations in philanthropy and strategies for building the capacity of nonprofit organizations and individuals to make a lasting impact in the community.

LEAD - An executive coaching program and network of NP executives who receive leadership coaching and engage in intensive peer sessions to think and plan more strategically, share best practices, and identify solutions to shared problems.

Spring2ACTion - Alexandria's Giving Day, a 24 hour online event that provides an easy way to connect donors to the causes they care most about and encourages them to take action. In 2016, 8,613 donors raised $1,337,493 for 152 nonprofits.
