This survey is a follow-up to gather additional information regarding community safety concerns following the April 7, 2024 shooting at Lions Park.

After the shooting incident, the City gathered input from community during an April 15, 2024 meeting at the Lions Park Shelter. To review the data gathered from that engagement, please click here.

Over the summer, the City conducted a lighting analysis at Lion’s Park to help provide recommendations and best practices for upgrades scheduled in the City’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for 2025. The analysis results aligned with community members’ concerns for improved lighting. The new Lion’s Park lighting will be similar to that installed in Medley Park.

The City is extending outreach efforts to ensure we hear as many voices as possible regarding additional decision-making at Lions Park. The questions are related to dedicated patrols, security cameras in the park, and tennis screens.
