Help Name Spirit Mountain’s New Chairlift!

Spirit Mountain is getting a brand-new lift: a 4-person chair that’s quieter, safer, and comfier with new cushions and footrests. To celebrate this exciting upgrade, we’re asking YOU to help choose its name.

All of the name options honor Duluth’s rich logging, mining and maritime history, connecting the region’s past to the future of skiing and riding at Spirit. Cast your vote for your favorite below, and you’ll be entered to win a FREE 2025/26 Spirit Mountain Season Pass!

Rules & Details:
  • One vote per person.
  • Voting closes on 11:59pm on September 30, 2025.
  • One lucky voter will win a season pass (if already purchased, the winner will be reimbursed).
  • Winning name will be announced on October 1, 2025.
  • The randomly selected voter will be contacted on October 1, 2025. If the selected voter does not respond within 36 hours, a new voter will be randomly selected to win the pass.
  • By voting, you’re becoming part of Spirit history and helping us write the next chapter of our mountain’s story!

No purchase necessary to enter. One vote per person. Contest is open to individuals 18 years of age or older. Voting closes at 11:59 PM CST on September 30, 2025. One (1) winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries to receive a 2025/26 Spirit Mountain Season Pass. If the selected winner has already purchased a pass, the value of one (1) season pass will be reimbursed. Prize is non-transferable and has no cash value. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Spirit Mountain Recreation Area reserves the right to modify or cancel this contest at any time.
