History

Since 2014, the Idaho Library Association and the Idaho Commission for Libraries have worked collaboratively to support the Library Leadership Advisory Committee (LiLAC).  The mission of LiLAC is to foster a culture of leadership throughout the Idaho library community.  The committee takes a statewide perspective, sponsoring leadership development activities for anyone working in any type of library anywhere in the state.

Currently LiLAC is looking for new members to fill upcoming vacant positions.  The commitment is to attend at least three face-to-face meetings in Boise, participate in online meetings as scheduled between the face-to-face meetings, and actively contribute to subcommittee work as identified by the group.

LiLAC encourages everyone to apply, regardless of position, library, or geographic location.  The key to making LiLAC successful is hearing from all the voices in the library community and to do that, a diverse membership is important.  If you have any questions, please contact Stephanie Bailey White at stephanie.bailey-white@libraries.idaho.gov.
