What is the survey about?  

The Education Review Office (ERO) is asking schools about the learning support networks available for students with complex learning needs.

Students with complex learning needs may include:
  • Neurodiverse students (e.g. children with Autism Spectrum Disorder),
  • Students experiencing learning difficulties,
  • Students who have communication and language requirements,
  • Students with sensory and physical impairments,
  • Students who have socio-emotional and behavioural needs.
Your responses will help us understand how learning support is being implemented, and where improvements could be made.

Participation is voluntary and confidential
  • There are no consequences for you or your school if you don’t do the survey.
  • Your responses will inform ERO’s report, but no people or schools will be identified in the report. 
  • Your individual responses won’t be shared with anyone outside of ERO – they won’t be shared with your school. 
  • Your responses will come direct to us and will be treated confidentially until the research data is destroyed (2 years after the end of the project). 
  • We might look at your answers from this survey again, when we look at other topics in the future.
  • We might use Microsoft Copilot to help in analysis, including identifying themes and patterns in written answers.

This survey should take about 5-10 minutes to complete.
