Welcome to the 2013 Leading Lights, the annual awards program run by online publication Light Reading (www.lightreading.com), the market-leading publication for the global telecom industry.
Leading Lights, now in its ninth year, is the communications industry's leading awards program. Light Reading's reputation for fiercely independent analysis makes this the most credible and authoritative awards program in the communications industry. (Well, that's our story and we're sticking with it!)
The Leading Lights program focuses on next-generation communications technology, applications, and services, and rewards the companies that have performed well during the past year (Sept. 17 2012 to Sept. 04. 2013).
Entries can now be submitted. The closing date for entries and Hall of Fame nominations is Wednesday, Sept. 04, 2013. The awards will be presented at an awards dinner in New York City (further details to follow) on Tuesday, October 1st, to coincide with the Ethernet & SDN Expo event http://www.ethernetsdnexpo.com.
There are 14 categories, including the Light Reading Hall of Fame, which seeks to recognize several individuals -- the famous and infamous -- for their remarkable influence and contributions to the sector.

- Best New Product (Telecom)
- Most Innovative Ethernet/Optical Service
- Most Innovative Carrier Cloud Service
- Most Innovative 4G Service
- Most Innovative Carrier Wi-Fi Deployment
- Most Innovative Video Service
- Most Innovative SMB Service
- Most Innovative Enterprise Service
- Company of the Year (Private)
- Company of the Year (Public)
- Best Deal Maker
- Light Reading Hall of Fame

Submissions to multiple categories are permitted, however, one form must be submitted for each individual awards category.
