What We Mean by "AI"
Think only about generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools you use to think, write, or get things done – whether by your own choice or because someone else (like an employer, school, or organization) requires you to. This includes:
- AI Assistants & Writers: Tools used to get advice, brainstorm, or write text (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude)
- AI Agents & Automation: Smart software that can fully carry out a multi-step task or process for you from start to finish
For this survey, please do not think about basic tech like autocorrect, spam filters, internet search, or maps.
💡 In short: If a tool creates content, gives advice, or takes over a task you used to do by hand, count it as AI.
