Introduction

The LA County Arts Education Collective partners with school districts to develop and implement policies and plans that increase the quality, quantity, and equity of arts instruction in their schools.

The Arts Ed Profile is a tool for collecting information about arts instruction in LA County districts and schools. The data is shared with school district planning teams to inform the development of their strategic plans for arts education.

This survey is to be completed by the Principal of the school or their designee. It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Questions about which students are receiving arts instruction and who is teaching arts are arranged by the art forms: Dance, Music, Theatre, Visual Arts and Media Arts.

The resulting data from this survey will provide a snapshot of the current state of arts education at your school site and district. With that in mind, please answer questions to the best of your ability. You are encouraged to reach out to colleagues to ensure accurate information.  You may answer "I don't know" if you are unsure of the answer. The more accurate information, the better.

While the results will be shared, your name will not be attached to any of your responses.
