Kilmore Town Hall

Mitchell Shire Council is currently seeking community advice about the future use of the Kilmore Town Hall.

Built in 1894, the Town Hall was used for Council business until 1978. Since that time it has been used for a number of purposes, including a home for community groups, and more recently, a cafe / restaurant.

In June 2013 the Town Hall became vacant. Since that time Council have been undertaking repair works, and now that repair works are almost completed, Council wanted to take the opportunity to explore community views on the future of the Town Hall.

The building offers five rooms downstairs with an additional two rooms upstairs (including the former Council Chambers). Centrally located in Sydney Street, the site lends itself to a number of potential uses; however as a heritage building it is important to note that it does not comply with modern disability access requirements.

Your response to this short survey will assist Council to better understand community aspirations for the site and inform Council's future direction for the Town Hall.
