Here is a listing of our events that are listed below:
Festival Fridays - A four-part festival series held on the second Friday of June, July, August, and September bring the community together for a free, vibrant celebration featuring food trucks, local restaurants, specialty food vendors, live music, and refreshing adult beverages.
Tuesdays on the Road - An "every Tuesday" popup event that happens at 4 different locations throughout the month, June, July and August. Hosted in neighborhood parks or parking lots, this lively gathering features food trucks, yard games, and live acoustic music.
Kalamatopia - A festive outdoor makers' market celebrating the holiday season, held in November and December. Designed to attract shoppers, city dwellers, and those passionate about supporting small businesses, this event offers a unique and charming shopping experience.
Do - Dah Parade - A satire parade that has been a cherished part of Kalamazoo’s landscape since 1984. This free-to-attend event that takes place June 7th holds a special place in the hearts of many families, bringing the community together year after year. It also serves as a unique platform for businesses to engage with the public and promote their brands by participating in the parade.
Vineyard Classic Bike Tour - The bike tour has been a beloved tradition in Paw Paw for over 40 years, offering cyclists a scenic ride through lush vineyards at the peak of harvest season. Featuring three distinct routes, the tour provides a unique blend of adventure and breathtaking views. Taking place on September 7th, it serves as the perfect finale to the Paw Paw Wine & Harvest Festival.
Pedal the Zoo - This unique bike tour in Kalamazoo offers riders the opportunity to explore hidden neighborhood spaces and key economic development projects throughout the city. Taking place in the spring and summer, the event combines adventure with community discovery, making it a must-experience ride for cyclists of all levels.
Kalamazoo Pop - Up Block Party - A series of four neighborhood block parties designed to engage marginalized families right in their front yards. This community-driven event fosters connection and support, partnering with the City of Portage and KDPS units. Taking place from June through August, with a special celebration on Halloween, it brings neighbors together for fun, resources, and meaningful interactions.
Kzoo Event Academy- This quarterly series of educational workshops provides sponsors with the opportunity to enhance events and event planning expertise. Each session covers essential industry topics, equipping participants with valuable skills and insights.
Perfect for event organizers and industry professionals, these workshops offer practical strategies to elevate event success.
Spelling Bee - It's the real Scripps Spelling Bee that is hosted in Kalamazoo County in March. KELC events agreed to be the fiscal sponsor for the event, coordinate the regional competition, and then raise the funds to support the winner and their representatives to attend the National Spelling Bee in Washington DC.
