The current pandemic has had us all adapting to new ways of living and working. Our thoughts are with those of you who are tackling COVID head on and each day, putting your all into caring for the elderly and vulnerable.

Our partners, the National Care Forum and Care Quality Commission, are interested in hearing how care settings have kept the music going during lockdown.

  • What changes have you made in how you deliver music and how have you adapted delivery to keep people safe?
  • Do you have any case studies or examples of music in or for care settings during this time you could share?

And if you haven't kept the music going, we'd equally like to hear about some of the challenges you're facing.

By sending in your feedback, you will be entered into a prize draw with three prizes to be won:

1. Free online interactive live music concert with Live Music Now professional musicians
2. Free training session with
Playlist For Life  on creating a playlist of personal music for those living with dementia
3. Free online informal concert with SoundUp musicians.

Now, more than ever, everyone needs to see the uplifting effects of musical interventions on people living with dementia.

Please use this form to share any stories, images and/or video links of how you kept the music going during lockdown. Do make sure you have permission to share the images, text and video of those featured. Alternatively you can email your text and images to sarah@musicfordementia.org.uk

We will share your story via our networks and social media channels to amplify the wonderful work that has been going on in our sector despite the considerable challenges.

Thank you for all you continue to do,
