What is the KC Regional Employer Survey?
The KC Regional Employer Survey is a collaborative effort led by the KC Chamber, Civic Council of
Greater Kansas City, Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, and the KC Regional
Workforce Alliance. The goal is to better understand employer hiring needs, workforce challenges,
and future talent priorities to help shape regional strategy and investment.
Why should I participate?
Your input will directly inform a regional State of the Workforce report and support employer-led
strategies through the KC Regional Workforce Alliance. This effort is designed to move beyond
reporting and into implementation—helping align workforce solutions with real employer demand.
How long does the survey take?
The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.
What will I be asked?
You will identify critical roles, estimate hiring needs over the next 12 months, share challenges
related to hiring and retention, and provide insight into collaboration opportunities like internships
and upskilling.
Who should complete the survey?
HR, talent acquisition, operations, or business unit leaders with visibility into hiring needs.
Do I need exact hiring numbers?
No. Estimates are sufficient.
Will my responses be confidential?
Yes. Responses will be kept confidential and reported in aggregate.
When is the survey open?
April 22 through June 5, 2026.
What happens after the survey?
Results will be shared in a State of the Workforce report and used to guide employer-led solutions.
