Background
The Kitsumkalum Treaty Negotiation is currently engaged in Phase 5 of treaty negotiations, which is the stage at which the parties begin substantive negotiations.

With respect to fisheries, in order to speed up the negotiations we need to determine the Food, Social and Ceremonial needs of Kitsumkalum community members for non-salmon species, especially those where allocations will likely be defined.

The attached short questionnaire is being provided to all Kitsumkalum community members and families to collect the information need to develop the Kitsumkalum proposed allocations for specific non-salmon species.

We hope you will take the time to answer this questionnaire. Please keep in mind this is not going to become public information.
It will only be used by us to develop the Kitsumkalum proposed allocations for non-salmon species.

Again I thank you for your participation.

Siegi Kriegl,
Kitsumkalum Fisheries Advisor
