The U.Dance South East Regional Platforms, JUMP START ‘27 and Making Waves, are partnership events between MÓTUS, South East Dance and One Dance UK. Generously supported by Arts Council England, Milton Keynes City Council and The Venue.

This is the application form for JUMP START '27, the U.Dance South East Regional Platform in Milton Keynes.
The selected groups and soloists will attend technical rehearsals during the day and then present their dance pieces live on stage in the evening on Saturday 17 April 2027.

Please note:
For JUMP START '27 in Milton Keynes, soloists and groups of any number, including duets & trios, up to a maximum of 30 dancers are eligible to apply.
For Making Waves in Brighton, soloists and groups of any number, including duets & trios, up to a maximum of 20 dancers are eligible to apply.

Groups and soloists who dance in the U.Dance South East Regional Platform 2027 will be considered for shortlisting for One Dance UK’s U.Dance National Festival 2027 taking place in the summer.

  • All sections of this online application form
  • The online equality and diversity monitoring form
  • The URL link to your dance film

This application form will take approximately 40 minutes to complete.
Please allow time to complete the full application form as it is not possible to save the form and return later. To avoid losing any work, you may wish to save your responses in a separate document first, then copy and paste it over to the online application form when you are ready to submit.

Groups and soloists will be notified of the regional panel’s decision regarding selection for the U.Dance South East Regional Platform by Friday 5 February 2027.

Forms and administration

  • Selected groups and soloists will be required to confirm details about the piece, plus submit documentation/forms to MÓTUS.
  • All selected soloists and groups with dancers of compulsory school age will be required to provide details for the Body Of Persons Approval (BOPA).
  • Please contact South East Dance if you need support with administration if selected.

Your availability
In order to be considered for the U.Dance South East Regional Platform 2027, your dancers, group leaders & chaperones must be available to attend the full day and evening of your chosen platform, either JUMP START '27 in Milton Keynes on Saturday 17 April 2027 or Making Waves in Brighton on Sunday 18 April 2027
