Submit all the documents required by your host university.
Returned all the items (e.g. student ID, library books, library card, keys, swipe cards etc.) that your host university / housing requires you to return.
Complete Moving-out procedures (転出届 tenshutsu todoke) and terminate your National Health Insurance at your city office.
Discontinue utility services/cell phone/land line/internet provider/cable T.V. in Japan and pay the balance.
Pay any other outstanding bills / fees in Japan if any (e.g. unpaid library fines).
Close your bank account(s) in Japan.
