The Future of Winslow Junior High

* 1. The Winslow School Board formed a Winslow Junior High Building Study Committee in December of 2012. This committee was commissioned with making a recommendation back to the School Board on what to do about the aging and high maintenance Junior High School. The committee studied a lot of different options and at the last School Board meeting made the following recommendation:

"Close the Junior High School at the end of the 2017 -18 school year and starting in school year 2018-19 have the grade 6 students stay at the Winslow Elementary School such that it would become a K-6 building.Transfer the grade 7 and grade 8 students to the Winslow High School such that it would become a 7-12 building"
