DRAFT LANDSCAPE MASTER PLAN QUESTIONS

A draft Landscape Masterplan has been prepared with the United Wambo VPA Community Committee and is currently on exhibition.

The draft Landscape Masterplan provides for improved and safer pedestrian movement around the Community Arts Hall with a larger picnic or village green directly in front of the hall, as well as new parking along Wambo Street with a new vehicular access point provided for the camping area. The aim is to provide better connections between the main buildings and facilities on the land and remove vehicular and pedestrian conflict around the hall, picnic and playground area. New play equipment is to be installed in the near future.

The draft Landscape Masterplan provides for 3 stages of change/upgrade for the Recreation Ground:

Stage 1 – New playground, accessible pedestrian link, shade trees and general landscaping, highway screen planting

Stage 2 – New camping area entry road and dog-leg fence entry feature, new Wambo Road parking and pedestrian access paths, new lawn, general picnic area upgrade, stormwater upgrades

Stage 3 – Campground upgrade, new all-weather internal vehicle circuit, camp kitchen and internal paths
