Scholarship details

The Jennifer Duggan Leaper Scholarship supports high-achieving students who have completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne and have enrolled, or are to be enrolled, in the Master of Teaching (any stream) in Semester 1, 2018*, with up to $10,000 per year for the duration of their course (pending satisfactory progress).
 
Preference is given to students who have experienced financial hardship in the Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne and to Master of Teaching (Secondary) students.  

*Students who commenced the Master of Teaching prior to Semester 1 2018 are not eligible to apply (including students undertaking their final 50 points).

Application Process:
 
Please complete the following questions and submit any supporting documentation by 11:59 pm Thursday 30 November 2017. Please note that late applications will not be considered. Please submit supporting documentation via email to mgse-experience@unimelb.edu.au. When emailing documentation, please put Jennifer Duggan Leaper Scholarship -Your name and student number in the subject line.
 
Students must submit an online Student Financial Assessment form if you have a current UniMelb login, and applications will be assessed and ranked by Scholarships & Bursaries (University Services) using the Student Financial Assessment process.  If you did not apply through Graduate Access Melbourne due to disadvantaged socioeconomic circumstances and cannot complete the Student Financial Assessment form, please complete this form and submit it to mgse-experience@unimelb.edu.au
 
Please note that if you are applying for more than one scholarship that requires the Student Financial Assessment form to be completed, you are only required to complete it once. 
 
Previous University of Melbourne students do not need to submit academic transcripts as we can access them for application assessment.
