Welcome to the official “IRONMAN: Quest for Kona” application questionnaire

In a crowded field of endurance feats, there is one event that towers above the rest. For nearly four decades it has served as the ultimate test of physical prowess and mental fortitude: IRONMAN.

For the first time ever, IRONMAN is looking for age-group athletes to star in their own 30-minute show. Each episode will follow one (1) athlete as he/she trains and competes for a chance to qualify for Kona™. The series will air for ten (10) consecutive weeks leading up to the IRONMAN World Championship broadcast. Subsequent episodes will check in on the training progress of athletes who have qualified for Kona.

We are looking for doctors, lawyers, teachers, mothers, military members, grandparents, policemen and everything in-between – athletes from every walk of life – taking on the challenge of a lifetime. Athletes whose stories have never been told, until now.

We invite all athletes, whether first-time or veteran IRONMAN® finishers, to apply. Ten (10) competitors representing IRONMAN’s diverse community will be selected by IRONMAN based on a variety of factors, including their responses to the questions below and video submission.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be considered, athletes must fill out the below questionnaire, record a 30-second to 1-minute video, upload it to YouTube, Vimeo or another video hosting website, and provide the link below as part of the application process. You understand that your submission is not confidential nor submitted in confidence or trust and no confidential or fiduciary relationship is intended or created by making this submission. You understand that the Production Entities are under no obligation to respond to you, to cast you in a program, or to return any materials to you, including any videos submitted by you. You understand that the Production Entities are diversified companies who may possess or come to possess information similar or identical to information contained in your submission, and you agree that any such similarity or identity shall not give rise to any claim or entitlement, whether for ownership, compensation, credit or otherwise. By making a submission, you hereby release the Production Entities and their respective directors, officers, shareholders, employees, and licensees from any and all claims relating to your submission, including without limitation arising from the risk of misdirection or failed delivery of your email and/or website submission.

If you are selected to participate, you will be required to agree to a publicity and liability release, and other conditions may apply.
