The Saskatchewan School Boards Association (SSBA) would like to see the next budget cycle restore the school division operating funding that was cut, along with increases in consideration of growing student enrolment numbers provincially.

School boards across the province have already had to make very difficult decisions for this school year due to the funding cuts in education and are hearing concerns from staff, parents, caregivers, and community members. Boards have worked hard to minimize the negative effects on students resulting from the difficult fiscal situation, but sufficiency is now at the forefront and of major concern for school divisions who are already planning for the 2018-19 school year.
