King County EOC (in Renton, WA)

This two-day (15 hours), IN-PERSON course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in the ICS -100 through ICS-300 courses.

NOTE: FEMA now strongly recommends that students do *NOT* take this class until at least 5-12 months since their ICS-300 class (because a good portion of the material in ICS-400 is a review of ICS-300).

Prerequisites (REQUIRED):
  • IS-800, "National Response Framework, An Introduction" (in English or Español)
  • ICS-300 (E-, L-, or G-300), "Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents"
All participants are welcome. For questions about accessibility or to request an accommodation, please contact Eric O’Brien at Eric.Obrien@kingcounty.gov (Requests should be made as soon as possible, but preferably 15 calendar days before the class. Later requests will be accepted, but may not be possible to fulfill.)

If you need to cancel your registration for this class, please contact me at Eric.Obrien@kingcounty.gov. Our classes have limited availability and waiting lists. Those who do *NOT* attend the class and remain registered will be asked to contact me prior to registering for any future classes.

Intended Audience
This course is open to staff from cities, counties, states, tribal nations, federal agencies, special purpose districts, and their private-sector and non-profit partners.
