2016 Food Hub Conference: Tradeshow

Thank you for your interest in a trade show booth at the 2016 National Food Hub Conference to take place in Atlanta, GA from March 30 to April 1, 2016.

Food Hubs
A food hub is “a business or organization that actively manages the aggregation, distribution, and marketing of source-identified food products primarily from local and regional producers to strengthen their ability to satisfy wholesale, retail and institutional demand.” Although some food hubs sell exclusively to wholesale, and others exclusively to retail (e.g. home box delivery services), the majority sell to both of those markets. Many food hubs are young (many are fewer than 3 years old), small (average revenue is about $1MM) and growing rapidly (30 – 50% annual growth is not uncommon). They operate as “triple bottom line” businesses – meaning that they have a drive toward maximizing not only monetary profit, but also positive impacts on the environment and the people in their communities.

Conference & Audience
This third biennial conference – the only national conference focused on food hubs - will bring together five hundred food hub managers and their staff (about 50% of the attendees), as well as consultants, public agency representatives, community organizations, funders and investors for over two and a half days of engaging presentations, trainings networking, tours, and peer-learning opportunities. This conference will include our first tradeshow.

Tradeshow
This food hub conference will be our first to include a trade show. As such it will be a small one – allowing vendors very good access to conference attendees. Due to limited space, vendors must complete an application for a booth – not all applicants will be accepted. We will strive to create an appropriate mix of relevant vendors for the wide variety of food hubs in attendance.

Pricing & Booth Details:
- Booth size: 8’x10’ (there is only one size)
- No ceiling mounted displays
- Booth Price: $500 (nonprofit discounts may be available)
- Each vendor staff is responsible for purchasing conference ticket ($550, or less for “early bird”)
