Homelessness is not an unsolvable problem. The growing homelessness crisis is the top priority in the Portland metro region. In fact, we know a lot about what works and what’s needed. The central problem is securing the resources to take what we know works to a scale that can begin to match the scope of the problem.
The HereTogether Coalition has developed a strategic policy framework for funding homeless services and housing stability. The purpose of this framework is to guide the creation, distribution, accountability, and oversight of supportive service funds to be approved by voters in a future election.
Using input from across the community, this strategic framework represents our coalition's shared priorities and values at a high level, and the work that we would like to see prioritized to help people experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty.
