Becoming an Effective Human Rights Advocate

Please join us for the Metro Boston Area DMH sponsored Human Rights Trainings. The goal of this training is to provide information and guidance on the Department of Mental Health Human Rights regulations and policies. To explain and define terms, standards, and principles that are relevant to Human Rights. We will learn the importance of understanding what Human Rights means within the context of the work that we do, and how we can develop and enhance the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out the important role of Human Rights. The Department of Mental Health recognizes the importance of safeguarding the Human Rights of person served, and the integration of Human Rights standards is important to our mission of providing services that are person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery focused.
This program is specifically designed for Human Rights Officers, Human Rights Coordinators and Human Rights Committee members in community DMH operated and contracted in the Metro Boston Area.
