Reflections of Home Submissions
Join us for a week of reflection as we think about the time we have spent at home. At Habitat for Humanity, we understand the value of home and how important it is that everyone has a safe and affordable place to live. We hope you will join us during this week of June as we share reflections and stories of what home means to our volunteers, supporters, homeowners, and other members of our Richmond community. Prizes will be awarded for Views of Home, Stories & Songs!
The poetry and writing submission is being run by our Partner Richmond Magazine's RHome. Please click HERE! Submissions due Friday, 5/28.
Art, photography, music, and recipe submissions will all be due by Friday, 6/12.
June 22nd-26th:
Monday: Highlights Richmond Habitat families- past, present and future
Tuesday: Views of Home (Art and Photography)- partnered with The Richmond Night Market
Virtual Art Show- 7pm-8pm
Wednesday: Stories of Home (poetry and short stories)- partnered with Richmond Magazine's R*Home
Virtual Storytelling Event & Competition- 7pm-8pm
Thursday: Songs of Home (music) - partnered with SmackSound LLC/StudioB RVA Podcast
Virtual Music Show & Competition- 7pm-8pm
Friday: Recipes of Home- send in your favorite recipes to share and develop/publish a cookbook for sale and homeowner welcome home basket (not a part of the storytelling competition).
