Health Advocacy Now: Lessons from the Pandemic

Invitation Overview

Every year, HealthAdvocateX (formerly WASHAA) tackles a big and challenging topic to benefit patients, caregivers, advocates, providers and allied patient services organizations through the lens of health advocacy. Topics for past meetings have focused on:

2020: Whole Person Advocacy: Integrating Mental Health

2019: Understanding Pain & Healing

2018: Conscious Living & Dying


The meeting will take place virtually:
  • Noon – 6:00 pm (PT), Thursday, November 4, 2021
  • 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (PT), Friday, November 5, 2021

We invite you to submit your topic and description for our consideration as we choose our speakers for this year’s event.  We are open to consider presentations in one of four formats:

Selection Criteria
Submissions will be reviewed by a program committee and the HealthAdvocateX Board who will seek to fill the limited spots available. We seek to present a variety of perspectives to understand the topic, to identify challenges and opportunities, to highlight community and national resources and to provide practical action steps that anyone can take to be more effective in medical decision-making or managing care.

All proposals will be reviewed by our committee with an estimated selection notification (yes or no) by August 30, 2021.
