Blayney Hay Bale Art Challenge
27 March - 3 April 2017
A big thank you and congratulations to all of the participants who entered the 2017 Blayney Hay Bale Art Challenge. Also, thanks to all of the visitors and community who supported the event by travelling out to see them. Now in its second year, the community turned up the creativity with impressive hay bale artworks and almost double the number of entries.
Developed by Blayney Shire Council and the Blayney Town Association in support of the NAB B2B Cycling Festival, the event aims to encourage greater visitation to Blayney and villages before and after the event, drive economic growth, increase community engagement and showcase the culture and rural landscape of the area.
The Blayney Hay Bale Art Challenge, as part of the NAB B2B Cycling Festival, is growing in popularity and is positioned as the region’s answer to the Tour de France. There has been widespread positive media coverage and social media interest in the Blayney Hay Bale Art Challenge and we are expecting the event to continue to grow in the future.
To assist with the development of the event, we are seeking to apply for tourism grant funding from the State Government.
We would appreciate your feedback to continue to improve the experience of visitors and community participants involved in the event. Please complete this short 2 to 3 minute survey. Your comments are valuable. Thank you for your time and participation.
Please return this form to Blayney Shire Council’s office by Monday 1 May, 2017
