Helping Hacienda Businesses with New Mandatory Recycling Ordinance

Purpose of the Survey

The new Mandatory Recycling Ordinance (MRO) presents many challenges for businesses in Hacienda. This survey is designed to identify the challenges you face in implementing the MRO, and garner the resources and services you need to help your business avoid fines that originate with county inspections.

Who Should Take the Survey

Many of the questions are meant for building owners and managers, but anyone is welcome to take the survey. There are valuable resources and free services listed at the end of the survey which would benefit building tenants, as well as owners/managers.

What to Expect

Please allot 10-15 minutes to complete the survey. The more data you provide, the better we can serve you. Some questions will allow you to give a free response comment, and we encourage you to include as much descriptive information as possible.

All the questions require an answer except contact information. You may remain anonymous as you fill out the survey, but if you want to receive free assistance, we need to know how to reach you.

After you submit the survey, you will find information on how to get $500 worth of indoor bins from the Alameda County Waste Management Authority.

Who Wrote the Survey?

This survey is a joint effort between the Hacienda Owners Association and Local Leaders of the 21st Century, an environmental public policy program for high school students sponsored by the Go Green Initiative.
