The NEA Leadership Competency Guide is a framework, developed by educators, to provide a tool to define and assess current leadership skills, knowledge, and abilities of education leaders. There are six competency domains that NEA uses to define leadership. Together, these competency domains explain what association leaders should know and be able to do when leading in the association and/or their professions. The guide is intended to be broadly applicable across the organization for individuals, locals, affiliates, and NEA.
