Connected Beginnings Mildura groups Expression of Interest for 2026 are now open.
Connected beginnings groups cater for local Aboriginal families with children 0-5.
Each group targets a different stage of the parenting journey, which helps to ensure we are providing the supports you need.
Please read each groups criteria to ensure you place your expression in the relevant area, afterwards you will be contacted to discuss your spot and get your feedback about what you would love to see in that group.
Priority will be given to Aboriginal families as funding is limited.
The four (4) groups include: Bonding from the beginning, Cuppa N Yarn, Knotting your way with bub and Leading the Way.
Bonding from the beginning - This group allows pregnant mums and their support person to be apart of a supportive circle, sharing their pregnancy journeys and yarning whilst sharing their special bonding moment while they get their maternity photography session. held once a term
Knotting your way with bub - This group allows new mums and their support person to come together and create special moments through photo sessions and yarning whilst also making Knotted blankets for bub. held once a month
Cuppa N Yarn - Mums and Bubs group.
Cuppa N Yarn is designed to support both mums and bubs & provides a opportunity for mums to connect with their children as well as other families through play and yarn. held weekly
Leading the way - This group is about empowering our families to connect to culture and health and wellbeing to build confidence in further skills and education and training opportunities. held fortnightly
