Welcome to the Great British Ex-Breeding Dog Survey

Thank you for taking the time to complete this important survey which will provide vital information on the health, behaviour and welfare of the UK’s population of ex-breeding dogs, regardless of their origin. The information you provide is completely anonymous and should take less than ten minutes to complete.

For the purposes of this survey a breeding dog is defined as a bitch that has had more than one litter of puppies or a dog that has been used deliberately to sire a litter of puppies.

As you may have adopted more than one ex-breeding dog over the last 7 years, you can complete the survey separately for as many ex-breeding dogs as you have adopted, whether they are still alive or not.

If you have adopted and also fostered dogs, please complete the whole survey including the final section for Fosterers.

If you have not adopted an ex-breeding dog but are or have been a foster carer over the last 7 years you will be taken directly to the section for Fosterers.

The Great British Ex-Breeding Dog Survey has been created by C.A.R.I.A.D., Pup Aid, Canine Action UK and The Karlton Index. The survey will run from 2nd September 2017 to 4th November 2017.

If you encounter any problems with this survey, please send an email to: cariadcampaign@live.co.uk.

Thank you once again for your time.
