Go Sioux Falls 2050 Survey Go Sioux Falls 2050 is the Sioux Falls region’s Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). An MTP is a federally required planning document developed for the Sioux Falls Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). Previously, the plan was called a Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP), but the basic purpose of the plan remains the same.Project staff are currently conducting the first round of public engagement with this online survey and a public meeting on November 7. The input from this survey will be combined with results from the public meeting to help determine community priorities related to transportation. Question Title * 1. The MTP has four goals. Please rank the four goals in order of relative importance, with the goal that is most important to you at the top. Question Title * 2. Money is limited, so planners often have to choose which projects will move forward, and which will have to wait. If you had $100 to split between the categories below, how would you choose? You may place all your money in one bucket, or split the money between categories, and you may choose not to spend any money on a specific category. Road Maintenance: Activities to improve or preserve the condition of existing roadways, including re-paving, painting and striping, and needed repairs Expanding Transit Service: Funding to expand transit service hours, implementing additional routes and/or vehicles, increasing route frequency Constructing or improving roads in growth areas: Constructing new roadways to serve future population growth, or improving existing roads in those areas to keep up with increasing demand Expanding Bicycle and Pedestrian Options: Funding the construction of new sidewalks, bike lanes, trails, and other options that make it easier to bike and walk around the region Improvements to Existing Roads: Projects that improve travel conditions on existing roads, including improving traffic flow, safety, and multimodal options Safety Improvements: Projects that specifically improve safety for all modes of travel - motorized and non-motorized Other: Have other priorities?
