Spring TA preferences

Please use this form to indicate your interest in being considered for a UW-Madison Geography TA position for the upcoming spring semester. (Keep in mind that, even if you have guaranteed funding, you MUST fill out this form to indicate your intent to TA!) Applications submitted by Friday, Nov 4 will receive full consideration.

Geog 120 (Global Phys Env) - 1 TA - 40% - Keefover-Ring
Geog 139 (Resources and People) - 2 TAs - 40% - Gartner
Geog 305 (Intro to the City) - 1 TA - 40% - Moore
Geog 339 (Env Conservation) - 2 TA - 40% - Turner
Geog 340 (World Regions) - 1 TA - 45% - Young
Geog 370 (Intro to Cart) - 1 TA - 45% - Gartner
Geog 377 (Intro to GIS) - 2 TAs - 45% - Zhu
Geog 575 (Interactive Cart & Geovis) - 1 TA - 45% - Roth
Geog 578 (GIS Applications) - 1 TA - 45% - Zhu

We expect to fill two Lecturer positions this SPRING:
Geog 342 (Geography of Wisconsin) - 40%
Geog 560 (Advanced Quantitative Methods) - 40%

We expect to fill one course development TA position this SPRING:
Geog 340 (World Regions) - OER (open text) development - 45% (note:  questions about this position should be directed to Kris Olds)

Note that each of these positions carries tuition remission and eligibility for health insurance.

What class would you prefer to teach? Give us your top three choices, but please keep in mind that we can't make any promises about assignments!
