Employees or their new supervisor must send an email to security asking for new access rights based on their new role. HR sends a separate email asking for old access rights to be removed

Employees always have permanent access to the whole facility

Area owners place a sticky note on their screen to remind them to remove employee access after a predetermined period

* How are visitors invited and admitted into your facilities?

Employees invite visitors and provide them access directly when the meeting is to occur. There is no receptionist or logbook. The employee controls the entry and exit of the visitor.

Employees invite visitors but the receptionist is not aware of expected visits. Visitors check-in by manually signing their name in a logbook. Receptionist calls the host to notify them that their visitor has arrived.

Employees send an email to the receptionist to notify her/him of a future meeting. The receptionist creates a visitor profile in the access control system. When the visitor arrives, the receptionist calls the host to notify them of their visitor.

Employees invite visitors via a self-service portal that notifies the visitor on details of the meeting. The receptionist has visibility on all planned visits and can automatically check visitors in. The system notifies the host that their guest has arrived.
