Request for Qualifications - Climate Ready Capital Project Program |
Green Building United will be working with grantees from the William Penn Foundation (WPF) to develop and implement sustainability and resilience measures for their facilities and grounds. The goal of this partnership, also known as the Climate Ready Capital Project Program, is to embed plans for sustainable design, construction, and operations at the initial stages of design planning for small retrofits, major renovations, new construction, and land conservation projects funded by WPF. GBU will need to work closely with sustainability experts in the areas of architecture, engineering, landscape architecture, and more to provide high quality sustainability and resilience recommendations for these design projects.
In this phase of the program, which will begin in March 2023, GBU anticipates working with 4-10 grantees throughout 2023. The current program design requires 1 meeting between GBU, a grantee, and one or more sustainability consultants with the possibility of a follow-up meeting and/or walkthrough of the facility or grounds. For this reason, GBU hopes to develop a repository of sustainability experts that would be willing to participate in these meetings and provide insights to grantees and their design teams.
Interested professionals should indicate their areas of expertise so that they can be matched with a WPF grantee based on the type of technical assistance required. They will be contacted 1-2 months prior to meetings to begin scheduling. Consultants will be compensated for their time.
