The "Friend of the Team" Program connects American Rocketry Challenge teams with adult supporters who can provide additional expertise to support their work. This may include rocketry expertise, advice on fundraising, assistance raising the profile of the team in the community, leadership development, or any other area where the team needs additional help. Please complete the form below to express interest in being matched with volunteers. Each volunteer will dedicate 5-10 hours of support for the team over the course of one season.

Only Adult Team Advisors or Rocketry Mentors may complete this form and request support. Students should ask one of these adults to complete the form. No team members (even if over 18) should complete this form.

Volunteers from sponsor companies, partner organizations, and our alumni community are excited to find teams in need of their unique expertise!

  1. The Aerospace Industries Association will collect interest from teams and volunteers and match them together.
  2. Teams and volunteers will meet (in person or virtually) to discuss needs and how the volunteer can support the team
  3. Teams and volunteers sign a Friend of the Team agreement
  4. Teams also agree to complete a survey providing feedback on the experience.
