DRCOG, in partnership with Arapahoe County, is developing a plan to enhance mobility and connectivity along the Florida Avenue corridor. Your responses will be used to identify which alternatives the community finds most desirable and will be used to further understand existing challenges and opportunities along the corridor. Public comments will be summarized and placed on the project website. The plan will look at potential improvements for better pedestrian, bicyclist, transit, and micromobility like scooters, bike share, etc. access along the corridor. The study is expected to be completed in February 2027. We look forward to hearing from you!
The study area includes Florida Avenue between Quebec Street and the Florida Light Rail Station (See map below). Shared micromobility consists of various small, low-speed vehicles that are available for public use, typically through a rental or sharing model. These systems include electric bikes (e-bikes) and electric scooters (e-scooters). Examples of shared micromobility operators include Veo, Lime, Bird, etc. The project is analyzing the feasibility of introducing shared micromobility to the Four Square Mile neighborhood, which is highlighted in blue in the map below. Users can access these vehicles on-demand, often through a smartphone application, allowing for flexible and convenient transportation options. A map of the study area is below.
