Area of Study: 6.0 Family

Welcome and thank you for participating in this project to update the National Standards for Family and Consumer Sciences*, conducted by NASAFACS, the National Association of State Administrators of Family & Consumer Sciences.

The standards and competencies you will review were developed and were validated nationally in 1998, revised in 2008, and have served the field of family and consumer sciences (FACS) well for almost twenty years. Review by stakeholders across the nation is vital to the successful updating of these standards and your participation is important.

The project to update the National Standards has multiple phases: Phase One will update the national standards. Future phases will provide correlations to National Career Clusters (www.CareerClusters.org), to Family, Career & Community Leaders of America National Programs (FCCLA - www.fcclainc.org), to core academic skills and processes, to assessments for industry certification, and to strategies for communicating to various markets.

Please complete this short survey to contribute your opinions and recommendations about the national standards for one Area of Study: Family. Average time to complete this survey is no more than 5-10 minutes.

Click "Next" to get started with the survey. If you wish to leave the survey at any time, just click "Exit this survey" in the upper right corner. Your answers will be saved for your return. Please complete the survey by August 5, 2016.
