Each year, FCCB will award a one‐time $2,500 scholarship ($1,250 per semester) to a college student with financial need at the beginning of each semester of their sophomore year. The funds will be sent directly to the school.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Available to a student or his / her immediate family member(s), who must have been a customer for a minimum of two years at the time of application
  • Applicant must be an incoming freshman college student enrolled in a four year degree program
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 after completing their freshman year of college
  • Minimum of 36 hours of community service each semester (preferred)
  • Applicant must reside in the First Citizens market area
  • Full and part‐time students are encouraged to apply, with preference given to full‐time students.
