FCCB Mansfield Commonwealth University Scholarship

Each year, First Citizens Community Bank awards two $1,000 scholarships to a Mansfield University student ($500 per semester). This scholarship is awarded to an employee or local director of First Citizens, or their dependent. Applicants must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a minimum of 20 hours of community service each semester. Full and part-time students are encouraged to apply, with preference given to full-time students.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Available to any employee, dependent of the employee, local board director, or dependent of local board director
  • Requires a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Requires 20 hours per semester of community or school service (preferred)
  • Full and Part-Time students (taking at least 6 credit hours) will be considered. Full-Time students will be given preference
  • Not automatically renewed but recipients can reapply each year

  • Two academic letters of reference
  • Letter(s) of reference from a representative of the community service organization(s) you are involved in; do not include relatives.
  • Essay expressing your financial need and why you would be a good investment if you were awarded this scholarship.
