Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. The data it provides will be critical in guiding new program development and securing longterm financial support for NOFA and MOFGA's farmer training programs.

As the market for organic and locally-produced food continues to increase and more attention is paid to the importance of regional food security, there is an opportunity for new farmers to enter the marketplace in the Northeast. Moreover, with a new generation of farmers showing increased interest in soil health and regenerative farming practices, there is an opportunity for regionalized networks of ecologically-minded farmers to increase the climate change resiliency of working lands and to be a part of an overall regional response to climate crisis.

As a coalition of grassroots farmer-support organizations, we feel an urgency to support beginning farmers be successful in their ventures, and to foster a thriving independent farming community across the Northeast. We are therefore reaching out for your help in understanding how we can build a stronger suite of resources, trainings, network facilitation and other farm viability programs to help farmers deepen their capacity for resilience and longterm success.
Biographic Information
