Individuals or groups may apply for grants for family geography programs in their schools. The maximum grant is $1000 per event. (A limit of $300 will be approved for food expense not used in a station.)

Application deadlines are May 1st, September 1st and February 1st. Applications will be reviewed by the C-GEO Steering Committee, and award decisions will be communicated to applicants by June 15th, October 15th or March 15th. Recipients have six months to use a grant, once it is awarded. Those who have not received a previous grant will be given priority. However, there is no restriction on the number of times an individual may apply.

Grants are awarded on a reimbursement basis. Materials purchased with grant funds will be the property of the grant recipient, and not the property of his or her school.

Grant recipients must submit a report and a poster within 30 days of completion of the family geography event. A URL will be provided for submitting the report, and format guidelines will be provided for the poster.
